Geometry unit – volume formulas for 3D bodies: prisms and cylinders

We're working this week to determine the volume of 3D solids. I do not care so much that my students memorize the formulas, but I want them to understand why the formula makes sense. Therefore, we spent a class phase finding the volume for some 3D solids without using a formula. After that, we generalized to writing a formula that we had come up with. [ad_2]
